My friends and I were having some sort of a reunion, and we were talking about a lot of stuff from politics, which we basically talked about the new president Barrack Obama if he would be able to save the economy of the United States, the George W. Bush incident in Iraq where he almost got hit with a shoe on his head, the Israel versus the Palestine situation and its recent attacks, and how the other countries, as well as United States, could possibly survive all the crisis. We were all about the news and current events when one of my friends, all of a sudden, gave me a question that really made me think… whose style is your favorite celebrity fashion?

I got stumped, not because I don’t know who to choose but because the question was way out of context. Anyway, I told her if there’s someone in the whole entertainment industry that I really like the style of… that would have to be George Clooney and his “always black” style. I don’t think I have ever seen him wearing any other color right after his Batman movie. He made the color his own fashion statement and made everyone think that the style is his style, and no one else can pull it off but him.

I was asked yesterday by one of my friends who do I think was Hollywood’s worst dresser of 2008. It made me thinking for a while, paused for a few second, and then I replied that it’s got to be Britney Spears. If you look at the things that she has done last year, at least before getting back in shape and getting all of those awards from the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. Whenever I watch TMZ or check their website, she was always there looking like crazy and way out there in the galaxy. There was even an incident where she decided to shave her head and lost all of those hair beautiful blonde hair. Then right after that she was seen weird wigs and there was even a point where she was seen not wearing any underpants and that was when she got associated with Paris Hilton. The list will just go on and on about her adventures and misadventures and she was at that point where she looked like she won’t be able to bounce back anymore. Then my friend went to spoil my momentum and told me that Britney is not a Hollywood personality but a pop artist… darn it!

My sister and I were in the malls yesterday and she was choosing prom dresses yesterday and she was really in to it. The look from her eyes said it all… she really wanted to buy those prom dresses that she was able to see and even wanted to try them on, when I remembered that she is already in college and there are no more proms in there! I asked her why she was choosing a prom dress then she replied if only the dresses were as pretty as those dresses that she saw, she would have gotten the title of prom queen. I just told her that it has been a few years back and should not be worrying it anymore. At least she got nominated that time and she was not a nobody, unlike some girls who can’t even attend the prom because they think nobody would even want to sit beside them in the tables. And besides, she was able to have a great time because a lot of guys wanted to dance with her and getting a date was never a problem. Then she just smiled at me and said thank you, then treated me to the nearest ice cream bar… Nice!

My fiancé has started choosing wedding gowns ever since the day I proposed to her. She said she wanted to look fashionable and as best as she possibly could on the date of our marriage later this year. She said she wanted to have two different dresses, one of course for the wedding ceremony, and the other one for the reception so she could move freely and easily, which I think made sense since I know it is a little hard for the ladies to wear something long and big while socializing with a lot of people. The only thing about it is of course, I am not allowed to see what she is going to pick and buy for the big day. And she’s using it, for some reason, to make me think so much on how she would look like when it’s our wedding day already. She kept on saying she would make sure that she would look sexy and yet classy, and will see to it that she will be the only woman that I will be looking at on the day of the ceremony due to her wedding gown. She also told me she has a surprise for me, but that would have to wait until after the reception, which basically made me more excited about our wedding day.

Wedding rings and jewelry are now starting to have a change in trend as we continue to evolve the fashion and trends in the society today. Before, when we say wedding rings, it is an automatic choice to have golden rings for the ceremony as a symbol of eternal love for the couple getting married. If we are to look at the rings that most people are selecting right now, gold is basically losing its touch when it comes to being the favorite choice. I remember my cousin when he was getting married, he asked me to tag along so he could have someone to talk to when he buys the wedding rings. Then my cousin told him it’s for a wedding ceremony and he doesn’t need a silver ring. The shop owner replied that those were not silver rings but platinum rings, and then he showed us some silver rings to make us see the difference. My cousin bought the rings although I remembered him paying a ridiculous amount of price.

I was checking out over the internet some fashion trends for 2009 because quite honestly, I have no idea what and how it would be on this particular year. I was browsing through a lot of websites, finding out the latest trends and the hot fashion statements, and I found out some very interesting stuff.

Men’s suits, for example, it was predicted that men’s suits, even though it is basically the slowest in fashion changes, will take a little overdrive and men would start something different with them from the typical monochromatic skinny-boy suit to something more masculine.
